In light of the Government's announcement that another Nationwide lockdown will begin on 5th November to help control the spread of Covid-19, we just wanted to update you on our activities over this period.
- All facilitated and group activities and events will be cancelled from 5th November until restrictions are eased - this includes our Wednesday and Thursday volunteer tasks. We will be keeping in touch with all our volunteers regularly while tasks cannot take place, and will inform them as soon as we know they are able to begin again. The only exception to this is our work with Duchy College students on Mondays, as this takes place within their educational bubble as part of their formal education. We know it will be very disappointing that the other volunteer tasks cannot take place over this time, but we hope to resume the sessions as soon as it is safe to do so.
- The PLP team will be working from home during the period, and the office in St Just will be closed. As such if you need to contact a member of the team please email, or ring their mobile. If doing the latter please bear in mind that mobile reception in Penwith can be spotty, so if your call is not answered please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can. - If you had a meeting arranged with any member of the team, they will be in touch with you to confirm arrangements.
Despite this disruption to our activities, the PLP team will be continuing to be busy behind the scenes planning future work and helping to care for the wonderful Penwith landscape.
