Cows in farming fields with rainbow and coastlineThe Penwith Landscape Partnership has arranged a 'Farm Walk' at Boskenna Home Farm St.Buryan Cornwall TR19 6DQ on Tuesday 28th September from 10.30am - 2.30pm by kind permission of the Hosking Family. This is primarily aimed at farmers in the Penwith area and places are limited to 30 attendees on a first come first served basis. A pasty lunch will be included for all attendees.

The speakers will be Dr John Gilliland of Devenish Foods who will be talking on soils and soil carbon, and Mr James Daniel of Precision Grazing in Launceston who will be talking on 'The Autumn Management of the Suckler Herd'. If you would like to attend please email Phil at philip.pengelly@cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk with your name and the number in your party, plus your preference for a steak or vegetarian pasty.

On the same day, meeting at 7pm for a 7.30pm start, Dr John Gilliland will also be leading an evening meeting at the Queens Hotel, Penzance, TR18 4HG, looking in more depth at the subject of soil carbon which is a highly relevant topic with regards to the introduction of the new Environmental Land Management Scheme (ELMS).
