Madron LLCA Training Saturday session

Saturday 18th September 2021, 10:00am to 3:00pm

Join our free training in Madron to learn how to carry out Local Landscape Character Assessment (LLCA) surveys!

LLCA surveys record your local cultural and historical heritage, and biodiversity. They help parishes to safeguard, plan and manage their heritage, landscape and historic character, and local distinctiveness for the future.

All are welcome at this training providing the specialist skills required to undertake the LLCAs, and in surveying historic and natural features as well as recording plants and wildlife.

We are holding two sessions to train volunteers - this session on Saturday 18th September, 10am-3pm, following an evening session on Monday 13th September, 6.30pm-8pm. You are welcome to attend either session, or both! Both sessions will help you to gain a deeper understanding of your local landscape by surveying and recording what is important to you, and what special features may be at risk if not captured through this work. Together, we will be looking at the natural and historical environments, ancient sites, rights of way and the wider Penwith landscape.

Both events will take place at Landithy Hall, Madron, TR20 8SN. If you attend this Saturday training session you will also get a free pasty!
