Volunteer

Volunteering is at the heart of the work of the Penwith Landscape Partnership.

Many of our projects include opportunities for volunteer work, so do please get in touch if you can spare some time to support our work. The work our volunteers undertake includes:

  • Volunteers at Bosavern Community FarmClearing vegetation from footpaths and ancient sites

  • Surveying archaeological remains in Penwith

  • Repairing Cornish hedges

  • Identifying and recording flora and fauna

  • Repairing and replacing stiles and gates

  • Recording important local heritage features in the landscape

  • Removing invasive species of plants

  • Historical research into ancient sites

If you are interested in volunteering and helping the Penwith landscape, please complete our volunteer registration form. You can also read about the experiences of some of our current volunteers.

We have a number of documents of interest to volunteers including our handbook- you can view and download these here.

We also offer regular training courses for our volunteers - details of the courses will be announced on our events page and our social media channels.

The lead partner for our two volunteering focussed projects are the Cornwall AONB. You can read more about our People and Communities projects here.
